Donna O’Shea is an experienced and professional academic with extensive expertise in student supervision and research. Passionate about ensuring the best student outcomes and maximising the impact of research in papers, journals and competitions. Group lead of Ríomh – Intelligent Secure Systems group, with a research focus in the application of AI to help solve some of most pressing cybersecurity challenges that we face as a society today including malware threats, critical infrastructure protection and hybrid threats. Co-lead in establishing Ireland’s National Cybersecurity Cluster, called CyberIreland, which is funded by the IDA with the key objective of establishing Ireland as a centre of excellence in cybersecurity. Extensive experience in industry engagement with real world practical experience in designing and developing complex systems.
