Beyond IoT brings Multinationals, Microsoft & Arrow, to Cork Institute of Technology, for Start-Up Workshops

In 2020, Nimbus Research Centre presents “Beyond IoT”, the rapidly growing global tech Conference, for its third successive year. This year’s event takes place on the 20th & 21st of January, in Cork Institute of Technology. Beyond IoT will now extend into a two-day event, highlighting the importance of Technology Research and its ever-expanding reach into business, society and academia. Beyond IoT has attracted internationally renowned speakers and 2020 is no different, with award winning international keynote speaker, tech author and influencer, Prof. Sally Eaves, taking centre stage as Event MC.

Day 2 of the event will be focusing primarily on Start-Ups under the theme of ‘Creating your new Technology’.

What’s fantastic about day 2 is that Nimbus are offering a space for both Microsoft and Arrow to create one to one clinics, workshops and seminars with start-up organisations

Microsoft

Andrew MacAdam of Microsoft will not only be giving a key note speech on Day 1 but is also instrumental in providing a Day 2 “Microsoft for Start-Ups programme” alongside international technology/commercialisation experts, to kick start a technology voyage of discovery, for new or established companies. Microsoft for Start-ups is a comprehensive global program designed to support start-ups as they build and scale their companies. Whether you’re looking to build your first application, land your first customer or scale to a million users, they’ll be there to help throughout Day 2.

Investor Clinics

Clinics will provide a unique opportunity to get expert advice from field experts in investment, funding avenues, entrepreneurship and academic research. From technical resources and free cloud to selling alongside Microsoft salespeople and partner channel, these sessions will provide invaluable advice and guidance on how attendees can facilitate investment, drive technology innovation, create collaborations, and foster new commercial relationships.

Arrow Electronics

We are also delighted to announce that Arrow will be providing workshops and clinics for Start-Ups on Day 2 of Beyond IoT. Arrow is a Fortune 113 company with 20,100 employees worldwide, Arrow brings ‘technology solutions to a breadth of markets, including telecommunications, information systems, and transportation, medical, industrial and consumer electronics.’
